The HTTP Request node is fundamental for interacting with external APIs, but it’s also where many beginners encounter difficulties. A recommended technique is to use tools like Bruno to test and validate API calls before implementing them in n8n.

  • Merge allows you to combine datasets from different sources or enrich existing data with additional information. For example, combining CRM data with social media information to create complete customer profiles.
  • IF provides basic conditional logic to create branches in the workflow. Like routing urgent emails to a different Slack channel based on keywords in the subject.
